American Music History - Home of Chess Records

It's definitely one of the highlights of visiting Chicago... traveling over to the home of Chess Records, and seeing the recording studio where the music legends recorded so many infamous and influential songs. The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and George Harrison are just a few of the rockers who have paid tribute to this incredible institution. Willie Dixon is one of America's greatest song writers and producers, and he has yest to receive the attention he truly deserves. Willie Dixon's son, Butch, can often be found at this legendary place, to provide personal, insightful tours. Be sure to CALL before going, as I've made the trip and it was not open... But, worth scheduling in a visit and tour. Great gift shop, too.
